WHO WE ARE

WHO WE ARE

About Us:
Grace International Fellowship Linz is a Gospel centered church with a heart to serve the International communities of Austria as well as the locals. We focus on living by the grace of God and passing on God's love to each other.

We Believe In:

The one God- who has revealed himself in three persons. The Godly inspiration, reliability and authority of the Bible. The finished salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The necessity of being born again through faith (conversion). The work of the Holy Spirit in the church and the believer. Believers baptism and Lord’s Supper as external symbols. The Church of God as the Community of the believers. Faith and practice always have to be inter-related.

We invite you join us in praising God and experiencing our fellowship. Don't hesitate to contact us and ask any questions.

Our Pastors:

OUR VISION

PRAISING GOD:

A church that gives God honor in everything. That we grow in our understanding and praise of God’s nature, his holiness, power, love and work.

We want to:
- Give Him the honor for everything (in the world and in our lives)
Peter 4:11 "Whoever speaks, as one who speaks saying of God; whoever serves as one who serves by the strength that God supplies - in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."

- Focus on Christ and His work, not on us
Revelation 4:10-11 "They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 'Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created. "

- Praise Him in life, speech and music
Colossians 3:16-17 "Singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

GRACE:

A church that lives by God’s grace. That we grow in our understanding of God’s work - for, - in and - through us and of our new identity in him

We want to:
-Trust him for our sanctification
Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me."
Titus 2:11 "For the grace of God … trains us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions,…"

-Serve him joyfully
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are … created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

-Deal graciously with each other
Ephesians 4:29.32 "Let no corruption talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, … that it may give grace to those who hear. …Be kind to one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

INTERNATIONAL:

We are an international church. That we continue to be a culturally diverse, yet united part of the body of Christ.

We want to:
-Accept and respect our differences
Colossians 3:11 "Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised an uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all."

-Reflect Christ’s love to each other
Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

-Seek and live out the unity in the Spirit that is already there
Ephesians 4:4-6 "There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call - one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

FELLOWSHIP:

A church where people experience fellowship with the Lord and with each other.
That the fellowship that we have with the Lord will be experienced in our relationships among each other.

We want to:
-Share our life with others
Acts 2:42.44 "And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. … And all who believed were together and had all things in common."
1 Thessalonians 2:8 "So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us."

-Deal with each other as lovingly as Jesus has dealt with us
John 13:35 "By this, all people will know you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

-See beyond our faults to recognize God’s work and potential in the other person
1. Peter 4:10 "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace."

ENABLING PEOPLE:

A church that encourages and enables believers to put into practice what God puts on their heart.
That our church works like a network where people feel encouraged, assisted and free to listen to God’s guidance and to contribute to a common cause.

We want to:
-Experience the joy of doing the works that God has prepared
1. Thessalonians 2:4 "Just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God."

-Listen to God’s speaking to us, both as a fellowship and individually
Acts 13:2-3 "While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off."

-Give space to contribute according to the personality and gifts that God has given
Ephesians 4:11-13 "And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God."

-Allow to try things out, assist and accompany each other
1. Corinthians 14:26 "When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up."
